What is Reconditioning?

Reconditioning (or return-to-play) is the transitional phase following an injury, where an athlete progresses to unrestricted participation in their sport or occupational duties. In this phase, the objective shifts to optimizing full physical function. A previous injury is one of the most significant risk factors for future injury. Without a structured approach, athletes and coaches are often tempted to do "too much, too soon" —leading to re-injury.

A proper return-to-play protocol progressively reintroduces sport-specific loads, speeds, and movement mechanics using objective criterias, preparing the athlete for full participation while lowering reinjury risk.

The Problem

Medical clearance (being pain-free) does not equal return-to-performance readiness.

Most rehabilitation stops at standard gym exercises and maybe some basic linear running. Athletes are cleared by physios once pain subsides and structural healing occurs, but they often lack sport-specific load tolerance, conditioning, and—most importantly—proper mechanics, the lack of which may have contributed to the injury in the first place.

Our Solution

We offer an individualized systematic, metric-driven reathletisation protocol that rebuilds your speed, power, and movement efficiency from the ground up around your load tolerance and skill level, ensuring you return stronger and faster than before your injury.

Our Core Specialties

Sprint Mechanics  Reconstruction

Re-building running technique post-injury (e.g., hamstring strain, ACL reconstruction, groin/adductor pathology) using advanced scientific protocols.

Using video analysis of acceleration and upright sprint mechanics and force-velocity and load-velocity profiling, we optimize sprint technique, posture and mechanical efficiency to reduce the risk of reinjury.

Multidirectional speed development for team sport

Tailored specifically for the chaotic demands of team sports and field athletes (Rugby, Football, Tennis).

We train multi-directional re-conditioning (deceleration, plant-and-cut, change of direction), evasion and collision readiness, and reactive movement progressively in sports specific context and under fatigue.

GPS, MyJump and VBT tools are used for strength and power development to support this reconditioning and load management.

Why work with me

Holding a BSc and MSc in Sports Science specializing in sports coaching and performance optimization, I have deep insight into the physiological and biomechanical demands of running-based field and court sports, as well as the expertise to develop the physical and mental skills needed for performance and injury rehabilitation.

As a licensed professional athletics coach specializing in sprinting and distance running, my academic research focused directly on hamstring injury reduction in sprinters (undegraduate) and role of sprint-related factors in elite rugby tackle evasion (masters). Drawing on extensive experience in team-sport reathletisation—particularly my time learning within Stade Toulousain Rugby—I aim to bring that exact same high-standard service to teams and individual clients, not only reducing injury risk but helping athletes exceed their pre-injury performance.

To ensure a seamless return to play, I work directly with team coaches and physiotherapists in both individual and group settings.
